The Collectibles

I created The Dinosaur Fan as an extension of my dinosaur card collecting hobby and as a means to share what I’ve discovered with whoever is interested. For this reason, the scope of the collecting information in this web page is more or less limited to two-dimensional (i.e., flat) domestic and foreign made items that incorporate the images of dinosaurs and/or other extinct life.

• IN SCOPE: I personally collect cards, stickers, inserts/cutouts from food, candy, snack, tobacco, & bread packaging, collector albums for cards & stickers, education & game cards, POGS/ milk caps, cigar bands, matchbox labels, non-postal stamps (e.g., Sinclair), novelties (e.g., valentines), toy inserts (e.g., cards, stickers, papers included with toys/figures), and just about all ephemera (i.e., paper items) that is not listed in the "Out of Scope" section below. I also collect advertising materials for the various “In Scope” items such as posters, flyers, and magazine/newspaper ads which show the items (e.g., cards, stickers) in the ad.

• OUT OF SCOPE: I do NOT collect philately (e.g., postal stamp-related material like stamps & covers), phone cards, post cards, and lobby cards.

• DO YOU HAVE INFORMATION TO SHARE? The world of prehistoric animal collectibles is huge and the content of The Dinosaur Fan only scratches the surface of what collectibles exists. If you have information (e.g., images, checklists, descriptions/information, trivia) about prehistoric animal-related collectibles (either “in scope” or “out of scope”) that you would like to share, I'll gladly publish it and give you credit on the webpage upon which the data is presented.
