"She took several snapshots of the injury, shifting her light for a better view. It really did look like bites, she thought. Then the kid groaned, and she put her camera aside and bent toward him. His lips moved, his tongue thick. 'Raptor', he said. 'Lo sa raptor' … At those words, Manuel froze, stepped back in horror."

My Opinion:
OK, nearly everyone in the "civilized world" has seen Stephen Spielberg's cinematic interpretation of this novel and nearly every book critic has reviewed it. I'll keep this short, get this book and read it! This novel is one of the cornerstones of the "Nature on the Rampage!" theme and is much, much better (but perhaps "dryer") than the movie. Every wonder why Biosyn was after InGen technology, how dinosaurs got off the island without being detected, or what really necessitated the visit by lawyers/chaotician/paleontologists? And the ending ... well ... forget the movie and read the book!
