| "The waitress fell back, rolled over and collapsed onto the floor, face up. Her breath came in ragged gasps as a sharp pain ripped through her belly. She knew the cat had torn her open, and when she heard the heavy creak of the floorboards she knew the cat wasn't finished with her yet. The cat looked at her, cocking its head to stare with one enormous green eye. Blood dripped freely from its jaws. Then it snapped its head in one swift motion and began dragging her across the floor. The horror of what was to come caused her to gag, then vomit." |
