The two Squealers leaped, one from each side, and as he tumbled to the ground under their weight, all he could utter was a terrible shriek. They tore him apart with swift brutality and Blane could only watch, his brain frozen and stomach turning to water. Blackeyes didn't scream for long, but Blane wondered if that was because one of the spiders had ripped out his tongue rather than because he was no longer feeling anything."
