These cards were inserted inside of Kellogg's cereal boxes including those containing Frost Flakes, Rice Krispies, and Smacks.  The title of this set, "Prehistoric Animals - and Their Successors" (Descendants) is somewhat of misnomer as most of these cards are not matched up with related animals but rather are paired loosely based on life style characteristics.  For example, the Plesiosaurus (a reptile) is paired with the Seal (a mammal) because, "Although it's a mammal living 185 million years later, the seal lives a similar water-bound life to the Plesiosaurus, coming ashore to breed. ..."   The Swedish translations seem to parallel the original English text although the English use more dramatic adjectives like "monsters" and "ferocious" whereas the Swedish version is less sensational and more academic/factual. For example, the English set is titled, "Prehistoric Monsters and The Present" whereas this set and the Danish set titles translate to "Prehistoric Animals - and Their Successors".  It is interesting to note that card #19 (Andrewsarchus / Hyena) contains a Swedish "Translator's note" which points out that hyenas are actually good hunters and that lions often eat dead animals that hyenas have killed, rather than the other way around.
