These cards are an integral part of TEPF’s ‘Reading… Give it a Shot!’ program in which students from kindergarten through sixth grade earn literacy collector cards (e.g., the dinosaur cards in this set) for recording the number of minutes they spend reading.  TEPF distributes the collector cards to schools across Alberta at no charge in hopes “they will provide powerful incentives that encourage students to develop their literacy skills and unlock new levels of knowledge and imagination.”
