These stamps were promotional items handed out with the purchase of Sinclair gasoline and were distributed in perforated sheets of three (i.e., two small and one large stamps), each of which is framed by a colored border (e.g., green, orange, yellow, blue, pink, red).  There is at least one confirmed sheet color variation (see images above and checklist) and I'm guessing that  border color variations exit for all of the stamps sheets.  An album was also issued to hold the stamps.
